I completely envy and respect daily bloggers! When I first started blogging ( almost a year ago!) I would sit down on the weekend and write my posts for the week and set them to post daily.
As I evolved in my blogging, I really wanted to have more of a “real-time” blog experience and write daily as I was feeling things and as things were profoundly impacting me.
What I have found, is that it really takes a whole new level of dedication to sit down daily and write. Not that I don’t want to write daily, or that I don’t have some random thought every day, but life grabs you and drags you on a wild goose chase and before you know it, the day is over. How does that happen?
The days pass, the weeks pass… and no blog has been written…
So here is what I wanted to share with you this morning as I am drinking this delightful little concoction that my friend told me about!
I have been learning about Turmeric. Yes, what we know to be a culinary spice, can have PROFOUND impacts on our health. If taken daily ( about 1-3 tablespoons), Tumeric can help with inflammation, decrease your risk for cancer, and a ton of other benefits.The hard part is how to incorporate this incredible yellow wonder into our daily diets.
I have been taking it in supplement form, it comes in a capsule, but my friend ( thank you Janice!!) shared this little recipe with me that has been such a treat.
I thought I would share it with you!
In a small saucepan on medium heat:
Almond Milk ( I use vanilla unsweetened)
Cinnamon (which has other health benefits, I believe) - about 1/2 to 3/4 tsp.
Turmeric- as much as your palate can tolerate ( I do about 3/4 tsp.)
Vanilla- just a smidge
Honey- sweeten to your taste
Heat it up, pour it in your favorite mug and you have a hot comfy beverage that resembles the taste of Chai, filled with yellow goodness!
I just finished mine as I typed this blog entry and I already feel health and wellbeing pouring through me! ( I am so drama… but you get my point!)
